Azkend sliding action puzzle game

Azkend is another unique puzzle game for the iPhone and iPod touch from the developers at MythPeople. This action puzzle game has an abundance of entertaining levels that take you through a far east Asia story line. Puzzle games seem to be a dime a dozen in the iTunes App Store, but this puzzle game is different (seems like I have said that before). Developers seem to be pushing the envelope in a quest to make the next best puzzle game. Azkend is a great game with action features that help you to clear levels quicker. The action features are stars, bombs, hammers and such. These features each have obvious helps that take out some of the tiles during game play. Speaking of the game play it is different from most tile puzzle games. The object of this game is to form matches of like tiles ( does not sound different). This is done by dragging your finger over those tiles (now that is different). The more tiles you match the more beneficial it is for you (lightening). There is more to this game than just forming tile matches, you must also get medallion pieces to the bottom of the puzzle before time runs out. The medallion piece works its way down when you form matches below it working it downward. Once the medallion piece reaches the bottom that piece is placed into the medallion puzzle for that epic. Once the medallion piece is completed you gain that specific feature that helps you through the next series of levels. I found playing Azkend extremely enjoyable. When I formed large matches I got lightening strikes that took out other tiles. I played through numerous levels and obtained the bomb and hammer features, which were very helpful. There are additional features that are too numerous to list in this review. This game is not boring and will provide you with plenty of entertainment. Azkend sells for $2.99 in the iTunes App Store.
