Title: Gigaputt (iPhone App ) Cost: $1.99 Category: Games Developer: Gigantic Mechanic

Playing games on the iPhone and iTouch is typically a sedentary (couch potato) activity. My fingers and eyeballs get a workout when playing games on my iPhone, but that is about it, oh yea sometimes my heart. The developers at Gigantic Mechanic, creators of Gigaputt have taken iPhone gaming to a more interactive level. Gigaputt is an iPhone game app that can either be played interactively (physically) or on the couch as they call it “snoring.” If you select physical game play you will be walking around wherever you are swinging your iPhone around while playing virtual golf. Be sure to be somewhere other than around the Pentagon or White House or you may end up in the clink for suspicious activity.
Again, your game choices are exploring (walking around game play) or snoring (sitting still game play). Gigaputt turns the location you are in into a giant virtual golf course using Google Maps. At first this sounded a little weird, dumb, you fill in the adjective, but once I played I got it. They have included some obstacles and extra’s to make the virtual golfing experience rather enjoyable. There are also different characters to play each game with and they are rather colorful. I selected the cop of course and hit all the fire hydrants, rather ironic I think. This game is Openfeint enabled and can be played with your friends. I cannot help but hear my wife’s voice in the small places in my head each time I wasted time playing video games, she always use to say “why don’t you read a book?” Now I can get exercise and play iPhone games.
Gigaputt costs $1.99 and receives 4 out of 5 CrazyMikes Head’s for genuinely unique iPhone game play. CM
