Lexel-Insane App, Paid

February 24, 2009 by CM · View Comments

The Lexel word game app, by jbrink.net released 01/25/09 is an excellent word game to hone one’s vocabulary.  The game has several options to make game play easy to insanely hard depending on how adventurous one wants to get.  You have 4 choices for screen size and 3 choices for game speed. The various combinations of screen size and game speed will give even a college English professor a challenge.  One of the coolest features of this game are the tile options.  I played games using rock, glass, and metal tiles and each tile has a corresponding sound unique to that element(i.e. crumbling rock).  The object of the game is to make words out of tiles that continuously populate on the screen.  When you make a word you touch the first and last tiles, which light up the entire word and make it disappear giving you points.  The bigger the word the more points.  Another cool feature is the ability to email you’re impressive word list and score, which is created each time you play.  This game has a 4.5 star rating in the iTunes store out of 3 reviews and Lexel sells for $1.99.  I dig this game app and place it in the “Insane App” category, due to the potential for insane game play.
